From January to November 2024, the general public budget revenue of Shanghai Municipality totaled 790.49 billion yuan ($108.3 billion), increasing by 0.6 percent from the same period in 2023.

II. General public budget expenditure

From January to November 2024, the general public budget expenditure of Shanghai Municipality hit 847.89 billion yuan, a 0.6 percent increase on the same period in 2023. Priority was given to key spending with sound outcomes on science and technology, agriculture, forestry, water resources, and urban and rural communities.
