Advanced nuclear energy. Progress in the commercialization of advanced nuclear energy technologies will accelerate, and the research and development of new small reactors, ultra-high temperature gas-cooled reactor equipment, and new nuclear engineering materials will be carried out. Also breakthroughs will be achieved in the research and development of the small modular thorium molten salt reactor nuclear energy system and the modular intelligent equipment, and experimental high-temperature superconducting controlled fusion devices will be developed, pre-research of new nuclear fusion energy system technologies conducted, small modular reactor technology testing promoted, and demonstration of multi-energy fusing applications deployed.
New energy storage. Efforts will be made to promote the development of strategic energy storage technology, the commercialization of compressed air, liquid flow batteries and other long-time energy storage technology, and the application of PV new energy storage stations. The flywheel energy storage, sodium ion batteries and other technology tests will be carried out at a faster pace, and the solid-state battery electrolyte technology will witness new breakthroughs. Moreover, innovations in high-power and long-life hydrogen fuel cells, carbon paper, proton exchange membrane, catalysts and other key materials will gain new momentum, and the application research of fuel cell cogeneration systems, solid oxide fuel cells, etc. will move forward.
