Top Jin Guang Hui, a big new commercial complex — located in the Taopu town of Shanghai's Putuo district — is scheduled to complete construction before the Spring Festival and open its doors for business in the third quarter of the year.

Located near the intersection of Lianliang Road and Qi'an Road, the center is adjacent to Taopu Smart City to the north — a core focus of Putuo district's development strategy — and it can be accessed directly from the Qi'an Road Station on Metro Line 15.

Occupying a total floor space of 57,000 square meters, the complex will include six above-ground floors and two underground levels, featuring about 35,000 sq m of retail space. Additionally, it will provide over 9,000 sq m of community activity areas and 469 rental apartments.

The design has adopted a unified "multi-functional complex" concept — integrating retail, residential and community services. Its tiered landscaped parking lots links the sections, ensuring both independent functionality and easy interaction.

The mall incorporates open pedestrian-friendly spaces, including a plaza near the metro station, an inner courtyard and rooftop greenery. These features are designed to enhance accessibility and foster a sense of cohesion within the space.

Leasing is said to be well underway, with over 40 percent of the commercial spaces allocated for dining outlets. A boutique supermarket and a chain cinema have already signed on as tenants.

With an emphasis on mixed-use development and transit-oriented design (TOD), the goal of Top Jin Guang Hui is to address the shortage of commercial facilities in western Taopu town while creating public spaces for social and cultural engagement.
