University of Pennsylvania students visit Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Over 20 students from the University of Pennsylvania explored traditional Chinese medicine at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Jan 6 to 9.

During their visit, the students attended lectures on the fundamentals of traditional Chinese medicine, or TCM, and tuina, a form of therapeutic massage. Additionally, they experienced the practical applications of tuina in daily life and clinical treatments.

They visited the SHUTCM Museum and the Shanghai TCM Health Service Collaborative Innovation Center, where they gained insights into TCM's integration with modern technology and its significant potential in the global health landscape.
At Longhua Hospital, affiliated with SHUTCM, the students engaged in hands-on activities featuring various TCM techniques such as guasha (scraping therapy) and cupping. They also participated in making traditional TCM products, including facial masks, scented sachets, and herbal teas.
