The China Europe International Business School, or CEIBS, serves as a gateway for international professionals seeking opportunities in China.

Before joining CEIBS, Fernanda Nunes Mamede Rosa, from Brazil, managed procurement and brand negotiations for smart home devices and home appliances at Amazon Brazil. Since many of her partner brands produced their goods in China, the country naturally became a significant focus in her professional sphere.

Recognizing the critical importance of the Chinese market, Rosa identified China as an ideal starting point for her international career.

CEIBS, the top-ranked business school in Asia, offers an MBA program entirely in English, perfectly aligning with Rosa's professional goals. In 2023, she decided to leverage this MBA program as her entryway into the Chinese market and establish her career there.

After traveling for 28 hours, Rosa finally arrived in China to begin her studies at the Shanghai campus of CEIBS. Adapting to life in China proved to be much easier than she had expected, with WeChat and Alipay streamlining her everyday tasks.

The MBA curriculum at CEIBS provides a global perspective, allowing Rosa to learn about various strategies used by companies in different economic contexts, which has proven extremely beneficial. She also visited Shenzhen in Guangdong province to observe business operations firsthand and toured companies she had previously collaborated with, gaining a direct understanding of their local operations in China.

Beyond her coursework, Rosa has served as the president of the CEIBS MBA Women Leadership and Networking Club, organizing forums on female leadership. She hopes that by participating in these discussions, she can encourage women to speak up confidently and be true to themselves.

This summer, Rosa interned with Bosch Group's product management team, where she gained valuable insights into product design, collaboration with engineering teams, and understanding customer needs. She noted that she found immense fulfillment in directly applying many of the MBA concepts she has learned at CEIBS to her work. These experiences at CEIBS have increasingly reaffirmed her belief that her initial decision was the right one.
