Shanghai University students from Malaysia, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Russia, Kenya, and other countries visited Shanghai Shengguang Science & Technology Co on Jan 10.

Shengguang Technology is recognized as a "little giant" company — small and medium-sized enterprises that possess core technologies in niche markets.

During the visit, the students were introduced to the company's success in overcoming initial challenges to become an expert in polymer materials.

In the company's sterile laboratory, they observed advanced experimental equipment and stringently executed procedures, gaining insight into quality and safety controls. At the mold workshop, the skilled operation and efficient production left a lasting impression.

The visit offered the students a firsthand experience of Shanghai's "little giant" companies. It also provided valuable insights into how to apply their academic knowledge in practical settings, while enhancing their understanding of China's economic and social development.
