Donghua University students inspire local sixth graders with cultural showcase
International students at Donghua University, hailing from Kenya, Pakistan, Ghana, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Yemen, and Egypt, recently served as guest speakers at the Experimental School Affiliated to Donghua University, where they visited sixth-grade classrooms and took local students on a cultural journey through countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Through engaging presentations, traditional costume displays, and interactive activities, the international students provided a vivid introduction to the customs and traditions of their home countries.
An Ethiopian student led a lively traditional dance, a Pakistani student taught the children how to write in Urdu (the official language of Pakistan), and a Ghanaian student brought energy to the classroom with African drumming and dance.

Local students eagerly asked questions related to culture, history, and education, to which the international students offered detailed responses, drawing from their personal experiences.

Wang Sizhong, a student from Class 6 (12), found the experience fascinating. He highlighted the valuable insights he gained into the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative and expressed a desire to engage more with international students in the future.
