Pudong's new landmark stages design festival

EKA Tianwu, in collaboration with design magazine Wallpaper*, launched the "EKA Make Design Season" on June 1. EKA Tianwu, converted from a marine equipment factory, is a new landmark for urban renewal in Pudong New Area, Shanghai.
The design festival, spanning the entire month of June, is not only a showcase for the limitless potential of design, but also a display of how art can integrate into everyday life.

Comprising a rich tapestry of exhibitions, design dialogues and design markets, among other events, the festival casts a spotlight on the influence and appeal of the design industry.
A standout aspect of the event is the conceptual home exhibition, inviting visitors to don 3D red-blue glasses to immerse themselves in the pivotal moments of China's home industry development.
The immersive experience is complemented by displays from over 10 iconic design brands that specialize in home furnishings, textiles and lighting, including renowned names like Cassina, Poltronova and Nemo.
In addition, the EKA Design Market will be held from June 1 to 10, welcoming 30 designer brands to participate and offer their very unique products.
