What we need to watch out for when enjoying the snooker competition? Here are some tips for tournament spectators.

*ID is a must!

This event implements an ID check system where spectators must have their original ID on them for verification before entry.

Restricted items:

Restricted items are items that violate event regulations, may disrupt the safety and order of the competition, and are not allowed into the venue. These include:

1. Glass and other fragile items.

2. Food that may cause discomfort to others or pose a safety hazard if thrown, such as durian, stinky tofu, eggs, and large fruits; food with packaging or characteristics that may disrupt the event, such as crisps or melon seeds.

3. Items that have not been reported to the public security department, including but not limited to cheering light boards, hand signs, banners, slogans, promotional materials, etc.

4. Wheeled equipment other than baby strollers and wheelchairs, including but not limited to electric folding bicycles, folding bicycles, scooters, skateboards, etc.

5. Animals (excluding service animals such as guide dogs).

6. Items that can cause personal injury, such as bats, long-handled umbrellas, and sharp objects.

7. Other items that may affect safety, such as laser pointers, remote-controlled drones, lighters, matches, etc.

8. Bottled or canned water and beverages.

9. Any alcoholic beverages.

Green spectator tips:

During the event, spectators are encouraged to use eco-friendly transportation by taking the subway. Lines 1 and 4 to Shanghai Stadium Station provide direct access to the venue. Nearby subway lines include Line 11 to Shanghai Swimming Pool Station and Line 3 to Caoxi Road Station.

Admission time & match schedule:

Ticket checks and entry will begin one hour before the start of each match, subject to adjustment based on on-site conditions. If a match cannot be completed before the start of the next match or within the allotted time, the event director will reschedule the match accordingly.

Entrance gates

Spectators from certain seating areas must enter through designated gates to ensure a smooth entry process.

Spectators seated in the No 1 North Stand (Sections 17, 18, 19, 20) and No 2Stand (Sections 5, 8), please enter through Escalator 1 for ticket inspection. Spectators seated in No 1 South Stand, No 1 Box, and No 2 Box, please enter through Gate C for ticket inspection.

Spectator etiquette

Upon entry, please ensure that your cell phone is turned off or on silent mode, avoid using flash photography, refrain from making loud noises, applaud appropriately, and leave between games if necessary.

Avoid behaviors such as cell phone use, smoking, video recording, or photography. Other behaviors to avoid include moving around during matches and entering and exiting the venue randomly, as these may result in removal from the venue.

Official merchandise stores

There are two official souvenir shops, one on the first floor in C corridor and one on the second floor in the gallery. Special discount vouchers can be purchased online in advance and used at the official merchandise stores during the event (July 15-21).
