Foreign nationals who reside in accommodations other than hotels shall, within 24 hours of check-in, register with the public security bureau at their place of residence, either themselves or through the host/accommodation provider.

 The registration should be handled at:

• Service windows at the local police station that provide household registration services and the police service windows stationed at community administrative service centers
• Online self-registration platforms

 

Here is how to use the Self-help Declaration System for Overseas Personnel's Accommodation Registration. 

First, you need to sign up before you log in. 

 Select the ID type after logging in and upload the photo. 

Once the information has been verified as accurate, click "Agree" on the Letter of Commitment and then submit.

Please wait for the review outcome. Once approved, a Temporary Residence Registration Form will be generated automatically. Usually, a download link will then be sent to your email address and via SMS.

If the review is unsuccessful, double-check the provided information for any omissions or errors. If it still fails, visit the nearest police station to make an on-site declaration.
