From March to May, Shanghai's Changning district will host a series of high-profile exhibitions, premieres and flagship store openings — injecting fresh energy into the city's vibrant cultural and commercial scene. Let's take a look!
Fenbao's first exhibition in China
Between March 19 and 29, Fenbao, the beloved Singaporean cartoon icon, will make her debut in China at Columbia Circle — the former country club and mansion compound, now redeveloped as a hub for fashion and leisure arts and shops, among other things. The exciting event will combine art and environmental awareness, showcasing Fenbao's adventures with her friends.
Visitors can immerse themselves in a stunning floral display, exploring Fenbao's world through various art forms, including animated shorts, sculptures, prints and oil paintings.
Additionally, the event will feature photo walls for memorable snapshots and a merchandise area where fans can purchase items like prints and figurines.

AW2025 Shanghai Fashion Week
Fashion fans should note March 25-31 on their calendars for AW2025 Shanghai Fashion Week. Being staged at the C Park-Haisu — a significant cultural and commercial community in Changning — the event will feature top showrooms and it will display designs said to reflect the dynamic essence of modern fashion.

IKEA Shanghai's First Inspiration Design Festival
IKEA Shanghai is launching its inaugural Kaleidoscope of Life design festival, driven by the brand's democratic design ethos. This two-phase event includes an inspiration design competition and a subsequent on-site design exhibition — offering a platform for designers to unleash their creativity while inspiring local consumers.
The on-site design exhibition will take place from April 10 to May 15, when winning designs from the competition will be brought to life in an engaging exhibit format. Located at the IKEA store at the Livat Shanghai shopping mall, the festival will turn the space into a display of innovative home design possibilities.

Italian brand Visionnaire's first store comes to the Chinese mainland
Established in 1959 as part of the IPE Group, the upscale Italian luxury lifestyle and furniture brand Visionnaire is set to open its first flagship store in the Chinese mainland in May. Located at WYSH, on the site of the historic Shanghai Feilo Acoustics factory, the new store marks Visionnaire's seventh global outlet, with existing locations in major cities such as Milan and Miami. This flagship store promises to become a stylish destination within Changning's urban renewal projects, celebrating a legacy of design excellence.
